About the Owner
After graduating from Auburn University and having a retail experience, Malia Price’s wish was to open her own shop. Originally from Alabama, she scouted different areas and fell in love with Sarasota, the beaches and St. Armand’s Circle.
Malia and her team completely rebuilt the shop that was destroyed by hurricanes in 2024. In the place of it, it used to be a long-standing Tilden Ross, next to the Crab & Fin Restaurant. Malia designed and decorated the shop featuring a collection of men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, hats and drinkware. All merchandise feature Malia’s designs and her own created “Sarasota” brand logo. Her mission is to attract locals and tourists by bringing community together.
“It’s a locally inspired lifestyle brand, so I designed a logo, trademarked it, started rolling out my business plan, designing my merchandise collection and looking for a storefront location,” says Price. “I was dead set on St. Armands Circle. It’s the perfect place for a store.”
