Dogs Inc.
Dogs Inc. mission is larger than life: “to create and nurture a partnership between a visually impaired individual and a guide dog, facilitating life’s journey with mobility, independence and dignity.” It creates a major difference in people’s and loving dog’s life. These highly trained dogs assist veterans with disabilities, give therapy in military hospitals, provide companionship for visually impaired children, work as public service dogs or as ambassador dogs in hospitals, nursing homes, hospices and schools.
You may notice volunteers training young dogs to be guides around the town. The dogs learn over 40 commands, navigate streets with obstacles, beaches, stairs and elevators, malls, public transportation, airports and more.
Dogs Inc. is non-profit organization, so they always look for volunteers. 100% of their expenses are paid by private donations, so the highly trained dogs can go to loving homes free of charge.
