When you’re looking for a restaurant that has everything you love…great food, a comfortable atmosphere and friendly people…you won’t want to miss Scarpino’s Classic Italian restaurant in Bradenton. It’s a welcoming atmosphere and there’s something for everyone on the delicious menu!
At Scarpino’s, they’re blending their passion for making delicious food with their extensive knowledge of their cuisine to create authentic and classic dishes for your enjoyment. They use the freshest, locally sourced ingredients and promise to give your taste buds something to be excited about.
Scarpino’s guests are the best guests in the world, deserve the best service, food and environment possible. This is what motivated Frank Scarpino over 30 years ago to set out with a vision to provide the area with one of the top Italian restaurants and frankly, he did just that. Frank and Rocco brought to you the quality and comfort of old school family Italian food, with family recipes as old as Italy itself. The Scarpino’s Family Crest is deposited in the museum in Florence Italy, which dates back to 1500 AD. Frank came from a third-generation restaurant family, having had his own restaurants before, including a Mamma Onesti’s on Route 41, which was the original Mamma Onesti’s that opened in 1981. Frank has a colorful geographic history beginning in Philadelphia, moving on to New York, Atlantic City, and then Sarasota.
In 2023, Frank decided that Italy (home) was calling him back and he began the journey to find a worthy successor to carry the Scarpino’s legacy into the future.
As you can imagine, Frank met with many interested candidates over the course of a year. However, Frank’s high standards and commitment to his team and guests meant that finding the right person wasn’t going to be easy.
In November of 2023, Frank met with one more candidate Rob Arias, an industry dedicated and successful restaurateur with over 30 years of experience. Rob grew up in the industry and had started his career in fine Italian dining…working in every capacity from dishwasher all the way up to multi-unit management in over 12 locations. Needless to say, none of that impressed Frank. What Frank wanted to know was how would this person treat the team, the guests and the legacy.
Rob Arias promised Frank and the team that we would pour themselves and their investments into the team, their guests and the building. So, with that said, Frank and Rob started to work together on the transition of the restaurant.
On January 1st of 2024, Scarpino’s became the 5th restaurant Rob and his business partner own.
As a local Florida resident, Scarpino’s will be – and is – their passion project and their top priority.
Scarpino’s Classic Italian restaurant is available for private events: weddings, business lunches, dinners, cocktail receptions, and more. They would love to discuss how to be a part of your next event.
Seasonal and Local
They refuse to compromise on quality in their restaurant. That’s why they source their fresh ingredients from local farmers’ markets.
There’s always something wonderful about the smell of a good Italian restaurant. It brings to mind your childhood memories, if you grew up around or in an Italian neighborhood. Mix that with a welcoming atmosphere, a very friendly staff and prices you can afford. As Frank used to say: Life is too short not to be Italian!
Customer Reviews:
“Scarpino’s was recommended to us by the motel we’re staying at. The food and service were fantastic. Dave was our server and was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and history of this family-owned restaurant. From start to finish he was very attentive. Being a restaurant owner myself, I can spot an asset, and he surely is one. The quality and portions were perfect. If we lived in the area, we’d be regulars. Kudos, job well done!” – Glenn A. Clarke
“I just moved into the area about a week ago and noticed the parking lot was always full at dinner time. I’ve been in three times and sat at the bar. On my first visit I had a glass of wine and got a menu to go. I’ve had the Chicken Picata, Chicken Marsala, Beef Carpaccio, angel hair pasta and an espresso on my other two visits. All were excellent, hot, big portions and served with garlic bread… It reminds me of a family-owned restaurant on Long Island, every town has one on the island. Service was on point, food came out fast, drinks were refilled promptly. If you’re looking for a traditional Italian Restaurant this is the local place to go.” – William Krause
“Came at 4:30pm and was seated immediately. By 5:30pm there were no tables left! Get here early or make a reservation, it’s worth it! I meant to take pictures of our pasta, but it was so delicious we just dug right in! I highly recommend the Fettuccine Carbonara & Caprese Appetizer. All the desserts were soo good especially Della Nonna. Our server was friendly, and the restaurant has a cozy vibe. Next time I’m in town, I’ll be back!!” – Linsey B.
