It is our pleasure to present to you Heidi’s Schnitzel Kitchen authentic German food here, in Sarasota.
Before coming to America, Heidi the owner was a Chef in Germany for over 25 years. Upon arriving in Sarasota, she realized that Sarasota lacked a restaurant with authentic German food. This is where idea of Schnitzel Kitchen started, and 4 years later this came to be. They welcome you to join them for their 14 years of business at their “Happy Place.”
As a trained chef in Berlin and restaurateur throughout Germany, Kerstin has been influenced by all of the regions to come up with her recipes. German food is home cooking, and she provides you exactly what she serves on her own table. There is no American twist on the food, you get authentic German food every time.
They refuse to compromise on quality in their restaurant. That’s why they source their fresh ingredients from local farmers’ markets. No matter what time of year, you can be sure you’re eating the best of the season.
Chef Heidi has taken the thought of home even into the decor of the restaurant. Bringing in pieces that she would have in her own retreat, she wants to make sure you feel the same as she does – comfortable and relaxed. Come and enjoy their German Haus.

Heidi’s Schnitzel Kitchen is partnered with Bite Squad for Schnitzel delivery and package their meals in a way that keeps the quality of their food top notch when delivered to your home. Pick-up is also available. They always love to see you in person, but even when they can’t, they ensure that your dining experience is top notch!

“What a cool place! We went for my husband’s birthday, and it was a fun atmosphere with music, and ticky-tocky cheers with Das Boot! The food and the service were awesome! Heidi and her team work hard to entertain and serve the guests. We went with a friend who has celiac and they were able to accommodate her which was awesome! We had the vegetarian schnitzel, potato dumplings and red cabbage. We sampled the potato pancakes and pretzel. The pretzel was on the smaller side for the price but still very good.
