Art comes in different shapes and forms: paintings, drawings, designed one-of-a-kind jewelry and clothes, photography, even delicious mouth-savoring home cooked meal… This is Dalia’s few of many passions. A lawyer that always creates and reinvents herself. Anything she touches, it turns to gold. Dalia is well-known artist that had her designed jewelry galleries in Sarasota, and now she expanded her imagination by coming back to what is in her heart – Visual Art.
Innovative at its finest, she creates and plays with exquisite colors that she makes. By looking into her paintings, your world expands, too. You cannot help but immerse yourself and let your imagination play of what you can see, feel, touch… It lets you forget the world around you, and stand there in awe, and feel the deep connection with the artist and her creative heartfelt play.
A true art, whether seen or created, has to be felt within the heart. Dalia Antoinette definitely achieves that. Dalia masterpieces are in private collections around the world. Saks Fifth Avenue UTC had her Art pieces in the front window for their 30-year Anniversary.
She supports Art in Sarasota and Florida for many years: Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota Opera House, West Coast Symphony, Asolo Repertory Theater, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Florida Orchestra in Tampa, Florida, Make-a-Wish Foundation and more.
“When time goes by, you change, and your artwork goes to stages. When I was very young, I used to draw people and animals. I made drawings of every teacher I had beginning from elementary school; I made portraits. Later I was using watercolor and making landscapes, naturmort paintings using gouache paint, from about 14-15 years old, I became interested in fashion and Interior design (made albums of fashion drawings and design). I visited Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia at 15, which made a big impression on me, was studying art and artists of old world. My teachers told me Art and Architecture is my calling, but I went to Law school and was practicing Law for many years. I was very successful lawyer, but Art was always part of my life.
“All my paintings are made without brush, based on multiple layers of color and data, mixed, moved and painted over in realtime. Some fragments stick to the canvas while others get discarded to leave the existing layers visible, allowing a complex surface to emerge and build up over time. It makes a texture, some of the paintings have very heavy texture. Media: Oil & Acrylic.
Every painting has about ten layers of paint. It makes them 3D. Combining a 10-layer technique with zero brushes and both mediums is an incredible way to build luminous, textured art.
This is my own technique I’m using for all my paintings and it makes them exceptional. This is my own Unique style. 🎨 Space paintings glow in UV light.” – Dalia Antoinette Koss
