Customer Reviews:
“Great Happy Hour! If you can score a seat at the bar or at a table in the bar area and it’s before 5:45pm, you can get a great deal. Drinks, including their house cocktails and most of their wines, are half off. There’s a nice list of small plates at excellent prices that are also available.
We started with a couple of good cocktails. Then we shared the delicious happy hour fried shrimp. We followed that with the happy hour mussels—one of the best bowl of mussels I’ve had in a while. It was served with a basket of bread that was perfect to sop up the lovely mussel broth. Next, we had the happy hour ceviche which was a generous serving and really tasty. We moved off the happy hour menu to get the Monkfish, which is discounted in the early evening. You don’t see monkfish on menus very often, and this one was very good. It comes with a soup or salad, and we chose the delicious clam chowder. The plate it nicely composed with a starch and veg accompanying the monkfish.
A shout out to our server, Barbara, who was very kind, helpful and efficient and moved us along at a pleasant, unrushed pace.
We enjoyed our dinner very much and we hope to return.” – Keith B.
“Don’t miss this place! Visited during our stay for pre-dinner drinks. Next time we go we will be sure to have dinner reservations as well. Menu looked great. Drinks were spot on and reasonably priced!” – DJMcL82
“Since 1978, Crab & Fin has been a mainstay on St. Armands Circle in Sarasota, Florida. Located at 420 St. Armands Circle, in one of the most fashionable shopping districts in the country, it is an airy, upscale and casual spot with a patio and bar that serves a variety of seafood, home-made pastas and bread. But the menu has changed since we last visited before COVID emptied the dining rooms and beaches. More upscale. Mediterranean Branzino and European Dover Sole are welcome and popular additions to the menu. And my wife and I couldn’t wait to take advantage of it. Open from 11:30 to 9 Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 to 9:30 on Friday and Saturday, Crab & Fin is better than ever. We started with a jumbo shrimp cocktail with house sauce, a bowl of New England clam chowder, a bowl of Maine lobster and crab bisque and a Caesar salad with hearts of romaine, house-made Caesar dressing, aged parmesan and croutons with chicken. For an entree, my wife chose European Dover Sole, sauteed with lemon, sauteed asparagus and roasted garlic fingerling potatoes and filleted tableside. I couldn’t pass up one of my favorites, Mediterranean Branzino, oven roasted with garlic and herb roasted fingerling potatoes, sauteed asparagus and lemon-caper-basil butter. All according to our more fish/less meat diet. For dessert, we shared a large slice of key lime pie in a graham pie crust and a Granny Smith apple tatin with thinly sliced apples, layered with caramel and cinnamon with a flaky crust topped with vanilla bean ice cream. Is there a restaurant in Florida that doesn’t serve key lime pie? And is there anyone who doesn’t like it?” – Taylor B.
