The Blase Cafe & Martini Bar
Home of Siesta Key’s Best Hand Crafted Martinis!
The Blase Cafe & Martini Bar has been offering Siesta Key a casual and unique dining experience since 1997. Their menu includes a variety of appetizers and entrées, including seafood, pasta, beef, and poultry. They also offer a full bar, which is a great place to stop and have a drink to meet up with friends or to make new ones. The Blase Cafe salvaged a bar from the Don CeSar Hotel in St. Petersburg which was frequented by such famous characters as F. Scott Fitzgerald, Al Capone, Lou Gehrig, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Chef and restaurateur Cynthia Breslin was submersed in the restaurant industry for nearly 25 years (since age 18) before opening up the Blase Cafe. She also loves art. The restaurant is decorated with her paintings and her stained glass.
They also have introduced Siesta Key’s spot for craft beers, pizza, smiling faces and a good time, directly next door (3.14 Pi), which offers a wide array of flavorful food and beverages.
The Blase Cafe and Martini Bar has nightly live entertainment.

“To me, this is a 1926 café. The lighting is very subdued it almost feels like we’re in candlelight. The beautiful artwork is reminiscent of the Beau Epoch ala Paris of the 1890s to me anyway. After ordering chocolate martinis and some happy hour specials, the last was that big carafe of coffee in a French press. The waiter was fantastic the owner stoped by and this is the second time we’ve been there. It is in one of the most relaxing places I’ve ever been with Superb food and outstanding service. My family has been in the restaurant business for many years dating back to the 20s in New York. I don’t like to eat out, I seldom do, but this place is magic and I would recommend anyone who wants a great atmosphere fantastic drinks supportive service in a really friendly atmosphere to come on in in the evening. They do have music. It’s intimate subdued and very quiet I was very impressed and it was a lot of fun – again!” – Kent N.
“I went to Blasé with my husband for a late date night, around 8:30. The outside area was very crowded, with music playing and a great vibe. We were looking to find something away from the noise and a waitress led us to a quiet table inside. We enjoyed drinks from the martini and cocktail list (The Ruby Red was phenomenal) as well as two tapas dishes to share (Tuna Sashimi &Jerk chicken skewers that were also both amazing). I would highly recommend this unique place, tucked into the village. We were very pleasantly surprised!!” – Kimberly Ann Tomasino
“Fabulous location on Siesta Key in the village. Cynthia Breslin is a wonderful host and owner of the Blase’. Great food especially the shrimp appetizer. Love the pasta dishes. Live music outside under the stars.. doesn’t get much better than this.”- Cathy Payne
“The Best Evening of Our Vacation! We had dinner somewhere else last night and we rather accidentally walked by this place just as the band was setting up. We have driven past hundreds of times but like many places it looks uneventful on the outside during the day but you can’t judge a book by its cover. Inside it is decorated classy and different than any other place in the area. While we can’t say anything about the food, we had drinks and the service was both friendly and attentive. There was a variety of ages in the crowd but at 43 we were actually toward the younger end. What was so great was the atmosphere…the band and dancing and ambiance. If you like older rock and roll and ever have a chance to experience “Dr. Drive”, they are amazing talent and great on stage. It was mind blowing how BIG their sound was for this space, and some of the songs they played were hubby’s old faves but we’ve never heard anyone do them LIVE.
We will definitely be back and recommend to others because Blase has a good thing going for them. And I hear Dr. Drive is back next weekend…” – Maria N.
