Debbie Dannheisser Fine Art
Beginning as a self-taught artist, Debbie Dannheisser has devoted years refining her techniques and enriching her style. The decorative and artistic appeal of her paintings have been widely accepted, resulting in her work being successfully used in both corporate and residential settings. Her universal use of colors makes her work ideal for almost any setting.
Her pallet is rich with a utilization of bold primary colors as well as complex shades of luminous pastels. Following in the footsteps of the great contemporary and impressionistic masters, she has created a unique style that expresses her commitment to freedom both on the canvas and in the paradigm of life. Her passion for color and form motivates her to create a rich array of imagery ranging from impressionistic landscapes to vividly colored still-lifes to bold abstracts. Her themes are diverse and reflect her interest in travel and the understanding of the world and its cultures. Visual ideas for her work could come from a remote village in France, or a spontaneous inspiration from her spirited imagination. Whatever the subject, her work reflects a deep sense of adventure and love of life.
The Process of Creating
“Richly painted canvases express serenity, poise and an intense radiant balance between light and color. It is a joy for me to stand in front of a canvas, listen to inspiring music and just paint. As the creative process begins, I often have no idea where to start and never know the direction my journey of creativity will take me. I just start painting, feel it, as if the canvas is telling me to put some more of that color over there. As the work unfolds the canvas continues to tell me what it needs until the painting is finished. And when it is done, it feels magical. It’s hard to believe that this painting came to existence from my hands. Out of nowhere.
This creative process is a metaphor I use in my life, remembering to quiet the noise, and let the canvas of life tell me effortlessly what it needs.”
“Painting is the gift I allow myself; it is my way to touch and connect with the people and world around me. I hope that my art inspires you to feel the joy, love, and beauty and I hope that during your tour of my gallery your journey and the art you find bring to you as much joy and it has brought to me.” – Debbie Dannheisser
