Sarasota Architectural Salvage (SAS)
Jesse White founded Sarasota Architectural Salvage (SAS) in 2003 with a vision of building a business that served an environmental mission to preserve valuable & historical materials from being destroyed, upcycling, and creating great jobs for great people. Jesse helps people to see the value in reusing and recycling. Blending expertise gained as the owner of an independent consulting firm offering recycling solutions to government entities and his penchant for the environment, antiques and architectural elements created the perfect match for a retail salvage store.
Jesse and his team find a steady supply of rotating stock by locating buildings slated for remodeling or demolition, and then removing anything and everything of value. They work cooperatively with historical societies and preservation groups. The result is an eclectic mix of architectural antiques and furniture, décor, garden art and building materials.
Items range from doorknobs to chandeliers and are sourced both domestically and internationally. The company also offers custom wood and iron furniture fabricated from salvaged materials.
Jesse is a noted philanthropist directing thousands of dollars to non-profit organizations, accepting consignments on behalf of local non-profits, and providing numerous in-kind donations.
Sarasota Architectural Salvage (SAS) offers an experience like no other…a place to explore, discover and stimulate your imagination….

“Treasure by the Truckload! This place has literally a little bit of everything. You want something different this is the place. Awesome staff too if you’re in Sarasota don’t pass it up.” – CM1CHUCK
“A Creative Muse Shop! This place is a creative’s wonderland. So many unusual finds and things to spark creative decorating ideas. If you need an unusual trellis for your garden, fabulous wrought iron chairs for that shady spot under your Oak trees, or those 5-foot-tall crystal topped tassels that you didn’t know you absolutely needed for your sewing studio windows…. this is the place to find it (and more)!” – KiwiAFWall
“This is a hidden GEM in Florida. The owner, Jesse is extremely knowledgable and passionate about his business. This store has some amazing pieces, perfect for those looking to add a unique piece to their home. Definitely will be back and will send clients to this wonderful business!” – Shayla Twit
“Great visit to this unique place. It has everything- vintage furniture, amazing stained glass, home decor, iron work, doors and windows, lumber, many decorative items. Everything curated with real care. You won’t be able to resist browsing through the whole store. Jesse and his staff are right there to answer questions and help. This is a great antidote to all the cookie-cutter stores you see these days, with the same bland manufactured items. Here are a couple of the little gems I found: a small iron mermaid with green patina that lounges on your bookshelf or corner of a table, and an exquisite English vintage decorative tile.” – Shelli P.
“A great place to take decorating and designing to the next level, whether a home, business, or landscape. A large selection of previously used doors, windows, chandeliers…many chandeliers, wall sconces, and a multitude of small and large decor items. The store takes pride in re-purposing construction materials, much it from local buildings and businesses. Constantly changing inventory and not afraid to stock the obscure. Nothing quite like it elsewhere. More than 10k square foot of fun.” – CL
