Rose & Ivy – Steak, Sushi, Cocktails
Welcome to Rose & Ivy, where history is combined with modern times. Rose & Ivy is located in the beautiful two-story, vine covered historic I.R. Burns and H.H. Bell Building, right next to the 100-year-old Sarasota Opera House in the heart of Downtown Sarasota.
If you look at details throughout the building, you can travel in time to prohibition Speakeasy era: the original restored bar, art glass doors and windows, the painted detailed ceiling in gold on the second floor, the light fixtures outside… Raffaele Perna has a goal to restore the building to its real glory, bringing some of that history back, and have the community to enjoy it. Also, there will be a private dining room in the future that will take you back when John Ringling was still alive. There, on the wall are original drawings of John Ringling, The Ringling’s Ca’d’Zan Mansion and the Opera House.
Rose & Ivy has large front and courtyard patios with lots of fans for Florida weather, interior dining room and upstairs piano bar and brand-new sushi bar. You can have a nice upscale dinner, see a live performance on the second floor and go downstairs to the garden and enjoy DJ.
Come and experience modern juxtaposition of eclectic Pan-Asian flavors, tropical mystique, and traditional elegance. Rose & Ivy focus on sushi, sizzling steak, exotic dim sum, superb beverages, plus a curated atmosphere like nothing in Sarasota.

Customer Reviews:
“My first experience at Rose & Ivy and will definitely be going back. Went for a birthday dinner, and the service was excellent. I loved the atmosphere as a chic downtown vibe. The king crab sushi roll and crispy shrimp tempura were the BEST!” – Becca Elizabeth
“Came here for a company dinner/meeting— the sushi was amazing, one of the best spicy margaritas I have had and overall quick food service. The servers were kind and as quick as he could be considering we were a fairly large group. Can’t wait to come again!” – Stephanie Sanchez
“Sarasota is so lucky to have this place! Beautifully restored building with a modern twist. Start to finish the staff were happy & accommodating to my Sarasota Sirens HH crew of 13. I called days in advance requesting we be inside if at all possible. The hostess was happy to seat us in their cozy upstairs dining area. Service was on top of it with drink and food orders our entire visit. Food was yummy, the cocktail menu unique and fun! Even the owner came up and thanked us for supporting his restaurant. I’m truly blown away and will be back – date night group outings, etc. (as well as the ladies in my crew). I’m even considering booking a private event here because of my awesome experience!” – Bethany Reul
“Thank you Rose and Ivy for hosting my son’s wedding and reception. This beautiful, one-of-a-kind venue is a must see. So much history and atmosphere. The food is FANTASTIC, and the drinks are amazing. The bartender Geno was top notch, Sydney goes above and beyond, I truly can’t say enough about her, and Patricia & Raffaele love their job and make everyone feel special. Truly one of a kind place in Sarasota!”- Katie Williams

From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in a captivating speakeasy vibe and genuinely good vibes all around. The food and cocktails are nothing short of phenomenal, showcasing a true dedication to culinary excellence.
