ionie Organic Cafe and ionie Body & Mind Retreat has been open since 2000 in downtown Sarasota on Fruitville Rd. ionie Organic Cafe has a new location, across from Whole Foods, on 1st Street. The owner Ionie is truly caring and dedicates her life in educating people to live with intention. She believes a raw, organic lifestyle provides our bodies with natural, nutrient – dense energy, and healthy body certainly saves on medical bills.

“This was our first time here. We are not from the area. We were so impressed with the plates. My husband is not a healthy eater but loved his Martin sandwich. It is the first pic I posted. He loved everything about it! He said the onion wrap was strong and really grew on him. He loved the jalapeño addition!
I had the taco salad… it was so it’s better than I ever imagined! I will definitely drive the 2+ hours it takes to get back to Sarasota to eat at this restaurant again and also purchase some of the sauces they use and bring them home! I guess they are involved in a farmers’ market nearby on Saturdays, where they sell a lot of their products which I am also excited to go to.

“I don’t think I could possibly capture this experience in words at the level it deserves. For context, I am a full time RV traveler who has seen all of 45/48 states, I am a mostly lifelong plant-based eater and have been 100% organic from scratch for almost 2 years – my standards for food are high. And not just health, but energy. You’re consuming the energy of those who created it. This meal was an outright spiritual experience. We have eaten at all of the best organic/raw/vegan restaurants in the country, and this takes top 5 out of any place we’ve eaten. The owner and staff have very special lights and could be seen truly enjoying what they were doing. Between the 4 of us we had golden milk, sweets, a smoothie, nori noodles, pizza, juice – so a little bit of the whole menu and it was all EXQUISITE. Every detail was nailed, especially the presentation. The place was immaculate clean and the second we walked in it smelt healthy, no chemicals. I’m tearing up writing this because I’m so grateful to have experienced this – this is how food is meant to be.
