The Starlite Room is a perfect place to dine before or after theater or entertainment. It is located right in the heart of theater district among Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, the Players Theater and the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe. The kitchen is open until midnight, so you can come dine anytime, and everyone is welcome.
Tyler Yurckonis, the owner of this brand new restaurant The Starlite Room, has a vision to be like Sardi’s, a famous New York theater district restaurant. Having theater major in college himself, Tyler is passionate about theater. You can see that from cozy surroundings, created at his restaurant. The walls are decorated with posters of plays and portraits of actors with mid century American theater theme.
Just open in September, they already served the cast of The Players’ production of “Land Me a Tenor” and hosted a kickoff reception for next year’s Sarasolo Festival.
The Starlite Room is a full service casual restaurant with a full service bar and late night dinner service.
The restaurant is open in September, and customers already love it:
“Great new place downtown for dinner and or drinks! The atmosphere is reminiscent of old hollywood. The food and service were excellent. I had a ny strip, frittes and ceaser both were delicious and classic style. Great building 2nd floor soon to be a swanky lounge. Recommend checking it out now before word gets out.”
“Huge and tender cut of Prime Rib; Braised Short Ribs – very tender and flavorful; love Starlite Salad w/ beets, Parsnip Pierogi’s – melt in your mouth, new spin on Southern mac n cheese. Yummy food, good service, trendy atmosphere, As they open more floors and add to their menu, it will be a place to keep going back to in order to check out the new additions. Great addition to Sarasota especially for the late – night crowd.” – Donna Taylor
“Great food. Ask for Teila, great personable waitress. Ambiance is authentic!” – Bill D. Travers
