Le Bordeaux Restaurant just opened on 1900 Main Street in Sarasota. French accent included. The owners owned Le Petit Bistrot Restaurant in Venice. They moved to Sarasota under new name.
Fabrin and Carine Langelus, Frederic and Carole Jullian are partners in the new venture that is located in the former Giuseppe’s Ristorante. Fabrin owned a catering company in Bordeaux, France and is the executive chef, who brings traditional French selections for late breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Here are a few TripAdvisor Reviews from their restaurant in Venice:
“A nice, small French restaurant that’s moving to Sarasota, FL in April. Wonderfully tasty simple French food and an attentive staff. The owner is the chef and is from Bordeaux, France. We went for dinner and had no trouble getting a table without a reservation. Free parking nearby. I had the French onion soup which was rich, creamy in texture, and slightly sweet due to the cooked onions. Delicious! Then I had the beef bourguignon and the meat was so tender I could cut it with a fork. Again, delicious! My had escargot which she liked and a fish dish (can’t remember what) that she said was very good. We had the crepe suzette for dessert and it was very nice. The wine selection is minimal, but we had the white and red Bordeaux wines and they were tasty and good, everyday wines. The owner told me that they are moving to Sarasota, FL in April and should be open by the end of the month. The new name and address will be “Le Bordeaux” at 1900 Main Street 34236. Phone 941-366-6610. I wish they had a bigger and better wine list, but otherwise I recommend this restaurant.” – Randall M.
“Took me Back to Paris. Small place, but good things come in small packages! Dinner was delicious, the staff was wonderful and the crowning glory was the Profiterole Crepe my husband ordered for dessert was magnifique! This was our first time here, but will not be our last.” – abyks1
