Joseph and Ann Casadio opened 15 South Ristorante on exclusive St. Armand’s Circle in 2001. Located on gorgeous Lido Key just blocks from pristine Lido Beach nestled among the premier shops of the Circle in Sarasota, Florida. The Casadios couldn’t have chosen a location that they would have enjoyed more! Joseph has been in the restaurant business locally since the 1980’s so he is well known in the community for excellent food and entertainment. He was born and raised on the Italian coastline in Sestri Levante: a beautiful tourist town on the Mediterranean with similarities to Sarasota.
They make their bread, sauces, pizza crust, dressings and some of their pastas in house. Whenever available they source local vegetables and seafood. Their food is primarily northern Italian as Guiseppe Casadio is from the Liguria region of Italy. They have something for everyone from pizza to fresh fish and filet mignon. They consider their thin crust pizza, cooked in their wood burning oven to be the best around!
15 South Ristorante also provides Catering services and have the space for your private party.

“Best Pizza ever! We were looking for a nice place to have pizza and a glass of wine. 15 South was recommended to us by vacationers at our resort that frequent the area often. We had very fresh soup and salad and the meatball pizza was the best pizza that we’ve ever had. They have a great wine selection, the ambiance is wonderful, they have entertainment, and the service was fantastic. We enjoyed our meal so much that we returned on the last night at Lido Beach to get another meatball pizza and a lovely bottle of Cabernet. I wish I were there longer to try their other entrees.” – Kelly R.
“Three Joes –a locals’s best kept sectret! Food, music and weekend dancing! How did I happen upon the local’s best kept secret? This week my travels took me to Lido Key. My GPS meandered me through the residential zone. My stomach was protesting! The “circle” was a quick trip from the beach resort. With live music seven nights a week, dancing upstairs on the weekends and a friendly casual atmosphere–I know why local’s love this hot spot!!
Walking down the street, live music and a soulful voice caught my attention. The smell of pizza from the brick oven lulled me in the door. The bar was a casual atmosphere that reminded me of Cheers. Regulars were chatting up a storm and newcomers like myself were brought into the circle of friends. Full seating is also available in the restaurant.
Joe, the bartender, welcomed me with a smile. Aziz, who’s name means “friendly”, lived up to his name as he reminded me to relax and enjoy the evening. Joe makes a tall pour that is mixed and shaken to perfection. If wine is your thing, the selection is plentiful. Although the menu has a variety of Northern Italian selections, I couldn’t resist Rocco’s amazing margherita pizza. The mozzarella, fresh basil and tasty tomatoes were presented on a perfectly baked crust. What diet????
After perusing the many places to dine, I couldn’t resist another visit the following day. Once again, Joe was at the bar with a smile and libation. Joey and the piano man played some of the best music that spanned several decades.
Then I met the third Joe (aka Giuseppe). Joe and Ann, the co-owners were enjoying a bottle of Broglia. Joe weaved the story of the perfect grape from Northern Italy situated a stone’s throw from France. His face lit up as he talked of his home town and the wine that rival’s those from Napa. Together we enjoyed the intense dry white wine that tasted a bit like honey, and wild flowers and transported me to the hills of Italy!!
As I was leaving for the evening, couples, ballroom dancers and singles were excitedly getting ready to head up the stairs for an evening of salsa, meringue and bachata. The locals know the spot and now the secret is out!! You will enjoy this cozy spot! There is something for everyone!” – Beardancer
“The atmosphere and dinner are all Italian. Service was excellent and food was unbelievable too. Been going for years!” – Rhonda P.
